STERLING SILVER BISBEE BLUE TURQUOISE PENDANT ON CHAIN………….$125.00
This free form shaped pendant was created by pouring molten
sterling silver metal into bundled broom straw. The organic material
of the straw burned away leaving the unusual shapes and textures
of the straw in the metal form. Each silver nugget form is a
one-of-a-kind with no two being the same. I have set a genuine
Bisbee Blue turquoise cabochon stone in the pendant.
The Bisbee, Arizona mines are famous for high quality, hard turquoise.
This piece measures approximately 4mm x 7mm and has a nice blue color
with a bit of green in the top corner (chrysocola). The finish is
high polished with a patina to bring out the depth of the formations.
I think this pendant looks a lot like a hand holding a turquoise gemstone
…quite accidental! This pendant is on a sterling silver rope style chain,
18” long. The pendant alone weights 3.69 grams. It measures 1” long from
the top of the bail to the bottom and is 7/16” wide.
