SHADE TREE LONGHORN IN THE MORELS.............$325.00
This sterling silver sculpture replicates a small piece
of forest floor. Each leaf, twig, morel mushroom, snail
and beetle is molded from a real specimen and is actual
size. The little beetle is called a Shade Tree Longhorn.
Our one-of-a-kind sculpture is created by method
of lost wax casting and elements are hand soldered.
Winged elm twigs from a Champion tree were used in the
process. Live oak leaves were from a 1000 year old tree!
The Shade Tree Longhorn beetle is about to topple a wild
morel for its meal! Weight of sterling silver is : 2.78 troy
oz (55.68 dwt). The sterling silver sculpture alone measures
2 ½” x 2” and is ¾” tall. On the cherry wood base the piece
stands 2” tall. The footprint of the wood base is 2 ½” x 3”.
This sterling silver sculpture is not permanently attached to
the wood base. This item comes gift boxed.
